According to a French Canadian genealogist from the Ministry of Cultural Affairs in Quebec with whom I once corresponded there are three different groups of Delorme familes in the Quebec province: Lemay dit Delorme, the Riel dit Delorme, and the Henault dit Delorme. They were not related, and came from three different provinces of France.

In addition, Msgr Napoleon Delorme of St. Joseph de St Hyacinthe, wrote me that there were also Dubes dit Delorme, Fafard dit Delorme, Simon dit Delorme, Lapointe dit Delorme.

Delorme is a surname; some kept the original name and others kept the Delorme surname. That makes it hard to trace.
