Hello..My name is Holly Wagner..My grandfather's real last name was Schach His father was Martin Schach from Ireland he was a painter. He married a Anna Demankowsky from Germany. She came over here with her mom. Anna's mother was Dorethea Demankowsky. She was a widow with three girls. There names were Lena, Rosa and Anna. She left behind two sons in the Military. There names where Martin and my aunt could not find the other sons name. My aunt said that Dorethea's maiden name was Hollenhauser. They were from what was called the High land section of Germany. They were also related to the Ludwig's and the Heinz. When Anna was about 20 her mother married someone in the Ludwig family and so did Anna's sister Lena.
They returned to Germany. Martin deserted and came to the US.
Anna married Frank Schach. They had a son named Frank and then she lost one and then had my grandfather Arthur.
Then Anna's husband Frank left. This were my aunt gets confused on what happened. They all lived in Cincinnati, Ohio. Anna married an Otto Wagner.
If any of you all can help us with this we would deeply appericate it. It gets very confusing.
Thanks for your help and your time.
Holly Wagner
