Samuel Demaree Jr. of Mercer Co., KY - late 1700s

I'm trying to sort out Samuel Demaree Jr. of Mercer County, KY, in the late 1700s and looking for help to clear up some confusion.

One source says Samuel Jr. (1754 - 1826) was the son of Samuel Demaree/Demarest (Sr.) and Leah Demarest. Samuel Jr. married Mary Brewer or Brouwer, daughter of Daniel Brouwer/Brewer and Maria Koenig. Samuel Jr. and family moved to Madison (Jefferson County), IN, where he died.

Confusing me is a Samuel (1746-1810) Demaree, born in Schraalenberg, NJ, to David Demarest and Catherine Van Houten. This Samuel married Susanna Brewer/Brouwer, also a daughter of Daniel Brewer and Maria Koenig.

Were there two Samuels in Mercer County at the same time? And did they marry sisters? Or do the records confuse the issue and there was only one Samuel Demaree?

To be clear, I'm trying to figure out which Samuel had a son named Daniel Demaree, born 1792 in KY, and later married to Mary Underwood and Sarah Lee, and lived in Jefferson County, IN. I "thought" Daniel was the son of the first Samuel Jr. mentioned above (married to Mary Brewer) but now I'm just wondering....

Can anyone help clue me in here?
