My Ggrandmother was Emilie Lisette Dement. She was born in Germany. There was a Dement family in Austin my dad insisted I was related to, but I only met one member of it. He owned an auto mechanical repair shop in Austin & collected antique cars. Dad pronounced his first name as 'Laurel' but I'm not sure what it actually was. Do you know anything about this line of Dements?
