Warwick, NY Tax Collector, 1877

I went to the Town of Warwick offices today to pay my water bill.

Posted on the wall near the Tax Collectors office was a yellowed notice behind glass protection.
It was a notice from 1877, listing locations in the town where taxes can be paid. One location was The Demerest Hotel, a red brick building which still stands and contains quite a few small businesses. Also, there are live Demorest/Demerest in the town and other areas of Orange County, NY.

It was signed by the Tax Collector, ?? Demorest
The ?? are mine because I don't remember Mr./Ms. Demorest's initials.

I could try to photograph it with my digital camera, if it is of interest to anyone.
