This could be his birth record from Quebec Vital and Church Records (Drouin Collection), 1621-1967:

This may be a first marriage for him:

Jean-Baptiste Denault (Jean-Baptiste & Catherine Ste-Marie)

Sophie Babeu (Jean-Baptiste & Julie Quirnon)

Here they are in 1850:

I found a baptism for one of their children from Early U.S. French Catholic Church Records (Drouin Collection), 1695-1954:

Cesarie Deneau, b. 26 Jul 1851 Cooperville, NY (St-Joseph du Corbeau), daughter of Baptiste & Sophie Babeu. -godparents- Pierre ? & Melie Babeu

Unfortunately, I can't find them in the 1860 Census. I still think this is a good possibility for your Jean Denault. Hope this helps. Annie
