Well anita, seems we must be first cousins... those Denbeau boys got around... there's a parcel of us out in Hawaii..
What I found after Joe's Death (Francis was his brother) was that prior to 1939 they were listed in all official records... army, school transcripts etc.,, as Denbo; some time during WWII My father Joe's name changed to D'Enbeau.. we've struggled with the spelling for some time until I now spell my name Denbeau(most of the time).. the ' kept fouling things up... Who knows why the change? I remember your dad Francis he was a good and kind man, not the hard charging Infantry Officer that Joe was, and I think we've met at sometime in the way distant past though, I don't spend much time thinking about the mainland and all that it represents.... 50 years on an island does that to you.. if you ever get to Kauai look us up... I fly helicopter tours part-time and teach school full-time but can always find time for long-lost relatives.... Jody Denbeau
