I have been researching my Rhodes Family in Harrison County Indiana. They are a pesky bunch. Just found my GRGrandfather Levi Rhodes in the 1850 census. Been looking for any of his progenitors and came up empty. In the 1850 census I found a Sarah Rhodes of the right age to have been Levi's mother, and a young man of the appropriate age to be his brother, it may pay off. Anyway, as far as the Denbo's are concerned, this is why I am looking for info: In the home of Sarah and her son Moses were two children, George
Denbo 11, and Rachel Denbo 10. This is very curious. I could come to the conclusion that They might be grandchildren of Sarah through a daughter, or she could be an aunt or great aunt to them. She is 56 at this time.
She might be a Denbo. She was born in Va. Or maybe they just dropped by for milk and cookies and the Census taker dropped by--who knows! Anyway, it any of you nice Denbos out there have any inkling of how these Denbo Children came to be in Sarah Rhodes' home in 1850, I would be grateful for the information. Thanks Yvonne Rhodes Tuttle
