Hello, Carolyn. Noticed you are searching the Denbo line. Until a couple of days ago I had never heard the name in my considerable lifetime. I am researching the Rhodes line
at the time Levi, my grgrandfather was in Harrison County,
Indiana. While surfing the 1850 census on his page (462)
I was surprised to find a Sarah Rhodes living next door. This is most exciting to me, because she is of the right age
to be Levi's mother, whether she is or not is iffy, but she has, living with her, a son Moses. Levi has a daughter Sarah And a son Moses, not born yet at the time of the census, so
his name is not there. As for the name Denbo, at last. There is listed in Sarah's home a George Denbo age 11 and Rachel Denbo, age l0. I have no idea who they are. If they are from a daughter of Sarah they would be her grandchildren, or maybe orphans she is caring for, maybe two children who happened to drop by for milk and cookies and the census taker wrote them in as residents. If I have given you another brick wall, my apologies, if you know anything about these children, I would be most appreciative of any information you have, it would be nice if they were blood to Sarah and clear up some of my mysteries. I would like to connect Sarah and Levi. I have been stalking Levi for two years and it appears he dropped from the heavens fully grown, like superman. Would be nice to find out he had a mom. If you have nothing, I would like to know that, too, so I can either put the secrets to rest, or keep looking for other ways to connect..Thanks, Yvonne Rhodes Tuttle
