I am related to this line as well; my ancestors are Thomas Atkins b. 10 Sept. 1810, m. Christina Riggle b. 06 July 1811, both of Crawford Co. Indiana. They had 9 Children, one of whom was James F. b. 1842. James m. Laura Gregory. James and Laura spelled their last name ADkins. They begat at least three children that I know of Mettie, May and Charles. Mettie, my great-grandmother, married my great-grandfather (although we cannot find a record of marriage) and they had four children, Bertha, Novie, Mayme and my grandfather, Lovell Landiss Roberson. I haven't been able to find a reason for the spelling change, but all the Denbo, Atkins members in your family records is the same as mine. If you have any info on this name change or any other info, I'd appreciate it. I don't have a father's name for Thomas . . .
