I believe your Sarah is not the same as my family. My Sarah is 2 years old in 1848, and parents are Joel Dendy and wife Clorintha. However, I do believe we are from the same original line which I discovered within the last two weeks! The names James and Sarah are in that line and passed down for about 5 generations. There was a William Dendy b. bet. 1683 and 1715 in Scotland who came to Halifax Co.,VA. His son William Jr. b. about 1738 Scotland lived in Va and migrated to LaurenCo. SC where he died in 1801. He had children William, Thomas, Dannel, Betsey, James H.,John, and Joel (from whom I am desc.) I bet your Sarah is from this line also. Sarah's father James could be named after this James H.
