Sounds like we are onto the same family. I am only beginning to research this line in my family. My Joel was born about 1847(per census) in AL, but his older siblings and parents were born in SC. His father was (per census) Joel Dandy(indexed with the "a") and mother Clorintha. His father Joel was born aroung 1811 in SC and I have been told he was from Laurens Co.SC, son of Joel Dendy b. 1765 in Halifax Co.,VA. This 1765 Joel was son of William Dendy b. 1738 Scotland. Again, this is information someone directed me to, and not something I have had time to verify. I get alittle confused with all these Joels! Perhaps you could e-mail me directly with more specific info.I presume that we are from the same original line, but there are so many family names handed down!! My email is marciawade@juno.com
