Thomas Jefferson Dendy (Feb 8, 1805 Laurens Co.,SC - June 19, 1854 Sabine Parish, LA) and Mary Ann Jones (May 27 1813 Johnson Co., NC - Dec 18, 1878 Sabine Parish, LA) are my ggggrandparents. Please look at #180 on this forum to see their children, etc.

In the 1840 Census of the Western District of Louisiana (Natchitoches Parish) Thomas is enumerated with 3 females under 5, 2 females 5-9, and 1 female 20-29. The head of the next household was Mary Ann's father, Shadrick Jones. In 1860 Thomas' family is enumerated in Sabine Parish, LA (established in 1843). Thomas and Mary Ann lived in Sabine Parish until their deaths. I am still trying to find out where they are buried.

Take Michelle Taunton up on her offer of information. She and her brother-in-law have compiled a wealth of documented information.
