Further information has been requested on my post. I will give what information I have:

Robert Elkin Dendy (b.11/19/1935) is my father. He married Ann Cliett, my mother, from Montpelier, Clay County, Mississippi, daughter of Cecil and Lorene Cliett of Montpelier. My father's father is Elkin Gordon Dendy (b.10/23/1914, d.06/16/1989, buried at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Chickasaw County, Miss.)He was married to my grandmother Francis Lucille Dulaney (b.10/11/1910, d.10/11/1982, buried at Bethel Church cemetery). Elkin had one brother, Robert Wilmer Dendy (b.04/21/1916, d.01/02/1968, buried in Memphis,Tennessee). Robert Wilmer married Thelma Peel, and they had one son, Jimmy Gordon Dendy.

My line goes from Youngsett Dendy to Oscar Fitzgerald Dendy to Daniel Davis Dendy to Robert Emmitt Dendy to Elkin Gordon Dendy to Robert Elkin Dendy to me, Robert Harold Dendy (b.3/3/1956), and then to my two sons, Cullen Daniel Dendy(b.12/18/1982) and Garrett Haywood Dendy (b.6/30/1986). My family lives in the northern part of Chickasaw County near Houlka, Mississippi.

A great deal of the Dendy family history in this area is published in the book entitled "A History of Chickasaw County" (Volume I), published in 1985 by the Chickasaw County Historical and Genealogical Society, ISBN No. 0-88107-042-4, and I have a copy of this. I do not have a copy of Volume Number II, which also been published.

Thanks, Dendy's. Let's stay in touch. There's a whole gang of us around here - I will help with any information I can get.
