Well, now I do believe we may be distant relatives. I recently posted a follow up about the slave connections. The story that my grandfather understood and relayed to my father is the same as yours...that we came from Dundee, Scotland and changed our names to Dendy when we got to America. I think that maybe the majority of the Dendy's in the U.S. might be originally from England and "our" line is from Scotland. I am very excited to hear about your line. You see, I may be the descendant of one of your ancestor's brother, etc. who lost touch with the family...or I may also be a distant decsendant of one of the Dendy slaves.
