I am the gr gr grandaughter of Marshall Betrand Dendy b. 16 Feb 1833 He married Mary Louise Penney, daughter of Henry Hardy Penny and Margaret Pursley. Marshall's parents were James Hogan Dendy and Elizabeth Knox. Marshall and Mary had 11 children: Elizabeth Ann (8 Sept 1858), Samuel Knox (31 Mar 1860), Fannie Louise (my gr grandmother) (b.09 Aug 1862), Ella (06 Feb 1866), Julia Stiles (25 April 1868), William Henry (08 May 1870), James Ervin (01 Dec 1872), Emily Ramsey (27 Nov 1874), Charley Penny (05 June 1877), Leslie Morriss (28 Jan 1879), Mary Ida (14 July 1883). They were from Richland Co., SC. Marshall's father, James Hogan Dendy, moved there from Laurens, SC.
