Steve - do you still need this will? I have both William and Thomas Deandy's wills of Laurens, SC.and I will send you copies of you still need them. William, father of Youngsett, and his wife Clary Cargill had several children and the will is wonderful in that it gives the daughter's husbands. Perhaps you already have all this since it was a long time aog that you asked. I am descended from Youngsett, to James A. to Sarah E. to Zillie Farmer, my Grandmmother. Zillie was a Dendy name- Izillar being her namesake as was her middle name Texonia from another Dendy aunt.I had often wondered where these unusual names came from and when I started to look at the Dendys - it got explained. Do I remember that you are descended from Oscar F, Youngsett's son? I was very interested recently to discover Youngsett in Limestone Co AL in the 1820 Limestone Co census-- not the Federal census. He is listed as Youngsett Dande. Oscar F lists his birthplace in 1850 as AL and that might be right. Looks like they were right up at the top of AL along the Tenn, River--- I tried to see if there were some allied families there at the same time and I haven't found any yet. In 1830 the family was in Pike Co, GA and by 1841 in Tallapoosa CO, AL. Can't imagine what it must have been like to travle around so much back then Would like to have some first hand reocrds and stories of their travels! Notify Administrator about this message?
