Sarah "Sally" Dendy (d/o William Dendy II and Clara/Clary Cargill) married a Jesse Motes (1772-1827), but his name was not Jesse Hogan Motes. The earliest individual by the name of Jesse Hogan Motes was born in 1877. The Jesse Motes who married Sarah "Sally" Dendy was the son of Jonathan Motes II and Audrey Collier.
I don't show a daughter or even a granddaughter for Jesse and Sally by the name of Ann. Jesse did have several brothers (Matthew, Jonathan, Joseph, William, Silas, Zachariah, and Benjamin), so perhaps one of them is the connection to your Ann Motes?
