My maternal grandfather was Jacob Denig, brother of Julia Denig. Julia had 3 brothers & 2 sisters according to my info. Namely: Jacob,John,Peter,Catherine & Elizabeth. They all came to the US. Julia was christened on 1-16-1871. I do not know when she arrived here but I found her on the 1890 Racine,Wisconsin directories with occupation listed as a domestic. Her sister Catherine became a nun & then came to the US. She was known as Sr.Engelbertha O.S.F. I have a copy of Julia's bro. John's obit. Her mother & father were indeed Jacob & Catherine(Katrina) who lived with bro. John for a time in Somers,Kenosha Co.,Wisconsin. I also have a photo of John Pitsch as a young man next to a relative of mine that I can't identify. I also have more information. You can send me private email if you wish at URL
