hI, I've been doing genealogy about 30 years...and only got into the French Canadian side 3 years ago..Thank goodness i read French...speaking it is something else, but I can get by.
How far back do you have your Denis family? I have much on them to the 1650s in Quebec.........I thought we were very likely related...as most people in Quebec are some kind of cousin or other...heheh. You have only to pronounce the name in French and listen to how an english ear would spell it...and then you come up with many options of spelling..it pays to chech them all..................Regards, Marj
