Hello,

I have a Joseph Denis/Dennis in my tree. My great grandmother was Florence aka Florida Deadware. Her parents were Joseph and Adeline Dennis/Denis and they were born in Canada. The name Lenneville also is in there somewhere. I am unsure if it is Adeline's maiden name or not. There is also a Rose Denis who was a sister. When my great grandmother passed away in 1965 a Rose Denis called my cousin and was angry noone called her but noone knew about her. They lived in Troy, NY. The other sisters we know about are Maud and Delia. Does any of these names sound familiar to you? We also found an article about an abduction of a Joseph Lanoville by a George Denis back in 1770 when Joseph was 13 from France and brought to Rouses Point, NY. The article claims that Joseph used both names surnames.
