I came upon your message whilst browsing my maiden name ( Denneny)
I am a Denneny from Manchester and I wondered if there was any link to the last part of your message.
My Grandmother ( Florence ) married a Denneny who died in WW1 and then married his brother ( Joseph) my grandfather.
Not many of my relatives are living now, but I shall make enquiries and get in touch again.

I would be very interested to find out how my grandfather came to be in Manchester ( it may have something to do with the Manchester Ship Canal ????????/)

kind regards
Carol Appleton
