John Dennis Halifax Co VA

Their was a Will of John Dennis 1779 of Halifax VA
a Name on the Will I suspect is my 5xGgrand. I would
like information on this John Dennis Sr, he had a son
John Dennis. My 5xGreat grandfather was Robert White,
a Robert White is mentioned on this will in an area our
Robert was living at that time period.

On the Will, (posting below) he states:

" be sold a set of blacmsmith tools (beside the
set above mentioned) now in Carolina under the care

My Robert White was just across the border from Halifax
VA, in Caswell District of Caswell Co NC, is on the tax
polls with his father in law Wm Whitehead, from 1780-1787.

Robert White Sr was a Colonial Blacksmith, and well known
for his trade in Union Co SC (formerly 96th dist)where he
arrived with his father in law in 1788.

P.58 - 261: John Dennis Will
"...being sick in body but of sound and perfect memory..."
To my beloved wife during her natural like all my estate
except three horses & 1 young bay mare & two stills which
are to be sold also what part of cattle & hogs my wife
shall think proper to sell & a full set of black-
smith tools. After decease of my wife my estate to be
appraised & equally divided between my daughter Luritta &
my sons Mathew & John. Sons Matthew & John to have One
hundred pounds each to school them & if either die his
part of money for schooling be laid out in schooling his
surviving brother. My firearms .. to be sold, also a set of blacksmith tools (beside the sett above mentioned) now
in Carolina under the care of ROBERT WHITE.
Exr: My loving wife & my brother William Dennis
Wit: Peartree Smith, Johnston Trainum (x) Tyler
WP 20 May 1779, Presented and proved by Johnston Traynum
Tyler one of wit. who made Oath he saw Peartree Smth sign
the same who is since deceased. 17 June 1779. Mellicent
Dennis Exrx. made oath hereto according to law &
Sec: Robert Jones, Gent.

Any help on this John Dennis would be appreciated.
