Hello Mark,

From what I know of my Denzau line, Anna Maria was born in Scheiweig-Holstein, Germany (excuse my spelling) but she (probably with her family) moved to Denmark. We think she met and married Johann Peter Bojsen (later changed to Johnson) in Copenhagen, where he was born. They then traveled with more family, both Bojsen/Johnson and Denzau to the US. They may have stayed briefly in New York, we have some photos that indicate such, but we know for sure they were in Wisconsin. Photo studios are identified in the city of Racine. Anna Maria and Johann then moved to California, where my great-grandfather, John Kennedy Johnson, was born in the 1890's. I don't know if any other family members moved to the west coast as well. I can dig up some more details later but that is the general scheme I have knowledge of.

Let me know if this seems like a branch of the Wisconsin Denzine family.

Thank you,
Simone
