Interested in this aspect, too - noticed on Ellis Island records a whole group of DePasquales departing from LeHavre & Marseilles. Do you have any family in Santa Caterina Albanese, Calabria? Or from Turkey, as well? (This group got around!)
There was tight-knit enclave comprised of # of families with mixed ethnic/religious origins who intermarried in Italy & NY over generations -- but having several threads tying them together. Do you know anything about a Savoi descendancy?
