Robert DePasquale in WW2

I would like to ask for assistance in finding any information about "Robert Depasquale".

Robert (so I have been told by my mother) was a prisoner of War (I think they called them something different then) during the Second World War in England. Whilst there he had a relationship with my grandmother Her name has eluded me at the moment but my mother "Edna Barbara Walker" was the result.
My mother said that Robert used to come to their house as a friend and she always knew him as a friend, when they lived in Birmingham. My mother had 9 brothers and 1 sister. Some of their names were:
John Wlaker
Victor Walker
Wilfred Walker
Harry Walker
Robert Walker
Marion Walker.

Two of her brother were in the War as Sailors and were killed shortly after returning home from active duty.

I would love to know who Robert was and find out about him as this is my heritage.

Thanks and hope to hear from someone soon.
