I am researching the DeRigne (Derigne) family. I am told that they were french royalty and escaped France during the revolution. My family originated with Bryan DeRigne coming to America with his brother. Family stories say his brother ended up in Louisiana. Do you think there is a possibility that the two families are related? Also I have seen our family spell their name derigbey or something very similar. I have quite an extensive tree on the DeRigne's and have connected to nearly all that I have found. Let me know what you think. Willing to share information. Thanks. Doras
