Does anyone have further information on the following, extracted from "Genealogical Dictinary of Rhode Island, 1887":

Francis Derby of Warwick, RI. Will dated 4 Sep 1663, proved 31 Oct. His wife, Ann, was executor. He left dwelling house to eldest son, Francis, then to son Eleazer if Francis should die without issue. To wife the use of house and land to bring up children.

His son Francie, born 20 Jan 1660, had his house burned by Indians in 1683 and moved to Southold, NY.

His son Eleazar, born 21 Mar 1662, As of 1669 his "father-in-law" was John Reed, who married Ann as her 2nd husband.
(Eleazar appears later in Norwalk, CT, records in connection with the Reed family.)

A third son is thought to be Tristram, of Providence and Scituate, RI, married Mary and died 1747. Will proved 28 Aug 1747, leaving widow Mary and several cousins named Angell, Evans and Sheldon.

My descent is from John Reed and Ann.
