I am searching for any information on the Derby families that lived in the Town of Persia, Cattraugus County, New York. A Leah (Leafy) Derby was born abt 1832 in Vermont. She was married to a William Crandall. They lived in the Town of Persia. She is buried in Broadway cemetery in Gowanda.

She may be related to one or both of the two other Derby families are buried in Broadway cemetery. Morgan Derby 1812-1874 and his wife Hannah Snyder 1818-1895 and Charley F. Derby 1821-1904 and his wife Sarah M. 1831-1913.

William and Leah Crandall had at least one daughter Alzina Finette Crandall. Alzina married John Seabrook Ackley, who was also from the town of Persia. I would appreciate any information you have on any of these individuals. I am the great great grandson of Leah Derby. Thanks. Archie
