Horace Rice Derby; Hiram Derby or Benjamin Derby

I am looking for any information on my great grandfather, Horace Rice Derby, who was born in Poultney, Vermont, who fought for the First Volunteer California Infantry on the New Mexico boarder in the Civil War, and returned to Poultney where he lived out his life as the Station Master for the Deleware & Hudson Railway.

Any information about Horace, or his father, Hiram, or his grandfather, Benjamin (all of both Erie and Washington counties in NY and of Vermont), I would be greatly appreciative.

Thanks very much.

Jack Derby
