Hello,

Sorry this reply is over 8 years late, but I noticed your reference to Conelis deRidder. I'm not sure who you are, but the person you describe is also my Great-Grandfather.

Years ago, I constructed a family tree based upon genealogical information going back to the 18th century.

I also have scans of Cornelis' birth certificate from the Netherlands (province of Noord Holland) and of his Declaration of Intent (to become a U.S. citizen) document, which contains a photograph of him from 1939.

He had quite a few half brothers, one of whom settled in Michigan and is the ancestor for all of the Holland, Michigan DeRidders.
