Bill,
I suspect this is the son of William Carroll DeROSSETT and Catherine "Kitty" BUTRAM. William Carroll DeROSSETT was a son of Elijah DeROSSETT of White and Cumberland Counties. William and Kitty lived in Cumberland Co., TN all or most of thier adult lives. Their son, Robert "Bob" DeROSSETT, was born January 1882. He was still living December 31, 1926 when Bob DeROSSETT, age 46, of Crossville, Cumberland Co., TN, was named as an uncle and heir of Henry THOMPSON in Cumberland Co., TN. He was apparently incompetent by that time and his guardian was A.E. TABOR.
He may also have been the Bob DEROSETT who married Belle MADEWELL on July 10, 1903 in Putnam Co., Tennessee.
