Elizabeth was about 48 years old when she married her second husband (James H. Hampton) and she about 58 years old when she married her third husband (Jonathan Skeans). I know of no children she had with either her second or third husbands.
Following is the transcription of a lawsuit filed by the children of Stacy Broughton Hammons:
Power of Atty for Estate of Stacy Broughton Hammons -
Stacy's son-in-law, Solomon Derossett, was appointed power of attorney over Stacy's estate registered in Book H, Page 34, Floyd Co., KY Clerk's Office: "We, Marshall Hubbard, Susan Hubbard, John Hammonds, William Hubbard, Jr., Sarah Hubbard, Emily Hammonds, and Elizabeth Derossett, heirs at law of Stacy Hammonds, deceased and Elizabeth Broughton, deceased, all sums of money and property due us as children of Stacy Hammonds, deceased and hereby ratify and confirm all our said attorney may do for us and in our names. In testimony whereof, we herunto set our hands and seals this 14th day of January, 1869. Signed by John Hammonds, William Hubbard, Jr., Sarah Hubbard, Emily Hammons, Elizabeth Derossett, Susannah Hubbard, Marshall Hubbard."
