I'm sure you have this information by now, but the parents of James DeRossett were Samuel DeRossett and Mary "Polly" Solomon. in 1788 they lived in Campbell Co, VA. then moved to Montgomery Co, Ky. children: Solomon, James b.1799, Preston. Samuel received a land grant for land in Ky. they moved and after moving he deserted the family. records show him applying for pension in Claiborne Co, MS. in 1827.

My line is from John and Elizabeth's daughter Minerva Ann Kimberlin. I believe i found most of this information on the family tree maker genealogy site. If you have any other information i would also appreciate it.
also, i have a few names on the Kimberlin side.
