Hello,

I read with interest your message dated 3-27-99, about the DeRossett family in Virginia and North Carolina. I have a Dr. DeRossett, (note: huguenot -loyal to crown-exiled in 1786) who married Margaret, daughter of Robert Walker/Anne Montgomery. Robert and Anne Walker immigrated to VA from Ireland around 1738. They moved almost immediately to NC and began their family. Does any of this sound familiar at all? I would appreciate any information you would like to share.
