My great great grandfather was indeed Jean-Baptiste Derouin of Escanaba, married to Azelda Thibeault. They had 14 children, the first 12 of whom died in childhood. Numbers 13 and 14 were both girls, and both lived well into their nineties. They relocated to Racine Wisconsin, where there are numerouse descendants. I have a great deal of information. Feel free to contact me.
