I sent you a response-mail on March 15. When I mentioned Harrisonville/VA I was mistaken,
because there is only a Harrisonburg in Virginia. Regarding my connection to Adolph:
As far as I can judge it there is no kinship,
although a very long time back there must be
common roots. The different families can be
traced back until about 1600. Prior to this
date single documents are existing which re-
fer to buying houses, travelling abroad and so on. So, before 1600 the relationship bet-
ween different persons cannot be proved, so to speak. In 1860 there were about 600 persons living in Oberglatt and there were
about 140 housholds. I am a co-author of a
little booklet about Oberglatt. It can give
you some insights in the daily life of this
village in the 19th century. It is written
in German. If you are interested, let me know your mail address. I will gladly mail it
to you.
