Mrs. Minnie Miller Kinard died yesterday in a Bristol hospital.
She was the widow of J. A. Kinard and mother of Mrs. T. E. Cecil, 816 Piedmont Avenue, with whom she made her home.
Mrs. Kinard, formerly of Erwin, Tennesse, and Newberry county, S. C., had made her home in Bristol for the past 15 years. She was a member of Reynolds Memorial Methodist church and the Willing Workers Class of that church.
Surviving are two sons, Alvin Kinard, Abberville SC, and Hubert A. Kinard of Maryville, Tenn; four daughters, Mrs. Cecil of Bristol, Mrs. Lila K. Bridges of San Francisco, Mrs. E. L. Derrick of Columbia SC, and Mrs. H. L. Mason, of Erwin; 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Also surviving are one brother, O. B. Miller of Clinton SC; Three sisters, Mrs. Joe B. Hartman and Mrs. Frances M. Bargus, both of St. Petersberg, Fla., and Mrs. W. E. Pugh, of Jacksonville, Fla.
One son, James C. Kinard, preceded Mrs. Kinard in death in 1953.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p. m. Friday at teh Akard Funeral Home chapel with Reb. W. R. Rollins officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood cemetery.
Pallbearers: Dr. C. A. Smythe, Dr. D. L. Oxford, J. E. Fulwider, James H. Leonard, Paul Cocke, W. H. Hamilton, Fred Entler, and W. H. Logan.
Flower bearers will be Sunday school class members and members of Circle no. 1, at Reynolds Memorial Methodist church.
The body will remain at Akard Funeral Home Chapel, where the family will receive friends between 7:30 and 9:00 p. m. Thursday.
