My great-grandfather was Valentine Dervin, born in New York in 1865 according to his death certificate and census entries. His death certificate lists his father as James Dervin and his mother as Philomena Arnold; the 1900 census gives place of birth for James as Ireland and Philomena as England. I'm trying to find out more about Val's family. My grandmother was named Marie Winifred, and her brothers were Henry, Walter and Valentine. The boys all died as infants.
