You will notice that Felix Duchenes, born 20 January 1879, was an American citizen who emigrated to New Brunswick in 1897. One of the few candidate families that he could have belonged to was Joseph Deschenes, son of Louis Deschenes and Marie Anne Ouellette, who married Elodie Cote, daughter of Eugene Cote and Marie Anne Beulieu, on 8 February 1869 in St. Bruno, Van Buren, Maine. By the 1980 census they had five children. Felix could be the one year old boy identified as "Alexis?", son of Joseph and "Sadie" in the 1880 census. Elodie must have died before 1882 because Joseph married Adeline Lacomb on 19 August 1882 and they had seven more children by 1900.
