Thanks so much for you reply. I remember meeting your father at the Blueberry Hill Nursing Home while I was there visiting my grandmother Ida. I also remember meeting Jeanette at Ida's funeral service. Trying to go from memory but I can only think of 7 children of Alfred and Ida. 3 boys and 4 girls.
Those that have passed are 1)my mother, Lorraine 2)Aunt Marrianne 3)Uncle Bobby 4)Aunt Beatrice. I have an old newspaper with the story of Beatrice's drowning. It mentions your father as one of the people with my grandfather that helped in the search for her.
My mother told me once that her name was originally Croteau but was changed to Crateau although she could not remember why or when.
I would love to talk further about this with you. I have tried to speak with my remaining aunt and uncles about the family but memories are statring to fade.
