It might be of interest to your lineages to know something of the earliest Deshaie's of Normandy

As far as I can tell: Sai or Say is one of the Channel Islands...

Robert gets to England via William the Conqueror
and is sent to Wales as a strong man to fend off the revolts

Here he built Castle Clun......and from here one the family has a long and illustrious noble lineage in england becoming the Lords of Saye/Say

Others of the line going on to establish the Desaie/Deshaie lineages in France....
