Salut Roger,

Thanks for the reply and the info regarding the Bellemore name. I suspected that the spelling could have changed but not that the name descended from Gelinas.

As for the couple you mentionned I do not believe they are the same as the one I am searching for. I have very little information on them besides their names and the name of one of their sons. His name was Gilbert Bellemore born @1828 in Trois Rivieres and married in 1854 in Yamachiche to Elizabeth Bellmare. With this info it would be highly unlikely the couple you mentionned marrying in 1841 would be his parents unless of course she was a second wife and not the natural mother of Gilbert? Any chance you have a listing of children for this couple? As well the name Desilets also appears as Des Ilets - is this just a variation of the family name or separate family?

Thanks for any help. Looking forward to hearing from you.

Monique
