Hi when I posted my pioneer ancestor Antoine Desrosiers, I had not expanded on his son Michel because he was my 8th great grand uncle and not my ancestor. Today I got an e-mail from someone that got me to take out my Jette book and I found out that Michel’s wife was half Indian (Sauvage) and so because it may be of interest to some of you, I am adding this post. Enjoy, Janet

Michel Desrosiers-dit-Desilets, born 03 Sep 1652 in Trois Rivières, St. Maurice, QC; died 11 Feb 1734 in Champlain, QC. He was the son of Antoine Desrosiers and Anne Leneuf. He married Marie-Thomasse Harteau/Artault-dit-Latour 14 Jan 1679 in Unknown, QC. She was born about 1666 in Unknown, QC. She was the daughter of Pierre Harteau/Artault, Sieur de LaTour and Louise Manitouakikoue(Sauvage).

Notes for Michel Desrosiers-dit-Desilets:
His Father-in-law was the Judge for the region of Champlain.
His Mother-in-law was Indian (Sauvage) Louise Manitouakikoue making his wife Marie-Thomasse Harteau/Artault-dit-Latour half Indian.
