I wrote a book a few years ago on the many lines of my paternal Acadian/French ancestors in the Tracadie area of Nova Scotia, & including, among others, the ancestors of the Deslaurier (Deslauriers) of which you speak. On my Deslauriers (Delorey) line I have traced the 1st, Jean Jacquet dit Deslauriers & his wife, Marie Gaufre down to my present generation, and including the ancestors of Alexandre & Marie Barriault to which your posting refers.
