Nita, Jean Bte was the one who changed the family name from Renard to Renaud. He and Marie-Anne had 3 children they were as follows; Michel 1726, Marie-Anne 1719, and Francois 1757. Do you know which of these you descended from? I have information on their children also. The first of my family to enter the USA was Olivier Renaud-Deslauriers, He changed our family name to Rayno to americanize it. This all happened in 1845. Please feel free to email me if you like it better that way. My email is lkehrley@wctel.net. It's nice to meet family!! Laurel
