Sorry to take so long. I only check this list once in a while. I have two Simons but not the right one. My Tracadie ancestor was Alexis Jacquet dit Des Lauriers from Québec. He had a brother, Charles, who also went to Tracadie and about whom I know nothing. Alexis received a grant of 100 acres at Tracadie in 1787 and was one of the first settlers there. He married Agnès Pitre dit Marc by 1792. There were at least two sons: Alexis and Moïse. Alexis married Marie Barrieau 7 Jan 1819 & Moïse married Marie-Sophie Girroir 15 Jan 1816. Moïse's sons were Moïse, Fidèle, Laurent & Simon. I don't know Alexis' children, perhaps your Simon came through him. The entire Des Lauriers line is available at the Université de Moncton's Centre de Acadienne.
