Hi I am sorry I contacted after you went to Kankakee Illinois. I have searched genforum in 2006 but came up with 0 results until last year when I replied to you for the fist time. I might have used the wrong spelling if the forum was not working right. I have made entries to "The Stebbins Geneaolgy Forum and others that turned up results. My greant grand mother Louise Deslauriers Stebbins's marriage license has her father Jean Baptiste Deslauriers sighned his name John Deslauriers and he is recorded with that name in the 1870, 1900, and 1910. He is John De Lorie in the 1880 census. His father is also John Deslauriers and John De Lorie. His wife is Uprosie in the 1870 census and living next door to his son's family. Too bad I did not find this before July of this year. I tried again in 2007 too I think. I wonder if I would have found this forum in May or Juneof 2008 if I tried. Anyway, thank you for the photos and information that you sent. I am gal you included Louise Dealauriers Stebbins' mother in law Virginia Deslaurier Stebbins and Alex Deslauiers who could have been her brother in the 1870 census. Their parents were Pascal and Sarah Bolduc. Sarah's maiden name was Taylor and Virgina was probably Sarah's first marraige. Virgina is probably only related to Jean Baptist by marriage. I wonder if Sarah Taylor's first husband was related to your family since Jean Baptist Deslauriers is not realated to you.
