Hi there,

Just to let you know, there is now a GenForum for the Delorey or DeLorey surname. Most people by that surname are descendants of Thomas Jacquet dit DesLauriers, a soldier, who came from Rouen, France, married Marguerite Sigouin at Lavaltrie, Que. in 1752, and settled at Tracadie, Antigonish County, Nova Scotia by 1787.

Many of his descendants later emigrated to New England in the late 1870s and 1880s. The name eventually evolved from Jacquet to DesLauriers to Delorey, or DeLorey.
