My name is Jorge Sotolongo. I was born in Havana, Cuba in 1954. My grandmother (Matilde Bombino, born in Cabaiguan,Cuba 1901 and died 1998 in Dallas,Texas) told me before her death that her husband's last name (Lorenzo Sotolongo) came from a famous Spanish navy commander who won some sort of important navy battle for Spain, so the king of Spain gave him a large amount of land in Cuba and decreed that from that time on, his decendants would be known as SOTOLONGO. I will try to find more information from my aunt, who lived and took care of my grandmother until her death.
